LHD Bandusoma spent 17 years as the Deputy Director of the Sri Lanka Accreditation Board where he was responsible for the Management of Accreditation/Recognition Schemes for:

  • Inspection Bodies
  • Proficiency Testing Providers
  • Reference Material Providers
  • OECD Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).

He led more than 300 assessments (in testing laboratories, calibration laboratories, PT providers, QMS, FSMS, EMS certification bodies, Inspection bodies, medical laboratories, and roduct certification bodies).
He spent the next three years working as

  • The Director General of Veterinary Services of Royal Court Affairs in the Sultanate of Oman and obtained accreditation for their Racing Forensic Laboratory, and
  • The Quality Manager of the Omani ESNAD Integrated Services, developing and implementing of quality management systems for Testing, Medical and Calibration Laboratories, Inspection Agencies, Product Certification Bodies, Management System Certification Bodies

Throughout, he served as an APLAC/APAC Lead Evaluator to evaluation partner national accreditation bodies and he provided training on ISO/IEC 17025, ISO/IEC 17020, ISO 15189, ISO/IEC 17043, ISO/IEC 17021, and ISO/IEC 17021.

LHD Bandusoma now serves as the Program Manager- Medical Laboratory Accreditation Program & Proficiency Testing Provider Accreditation Program for the International Accreditation Service Inc. (IAS)
