How accreditation helps achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
World Accreditation Day is a global initiative established by the IAF and ILAC to promote the value of accreditation. Watch the recording of the virtual Event IAS held on June 9th in celebration. The theme for 2021 was “Accreditation: Supporting the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.” Accreditation has an important role in supporting the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to meet objectives such as increasing trade, addressing environment and health and safety concerns, and improving the general overall quality of output in an economy.
This hour-long virtual event featured four speakers from the World of Accreditation, Fluke Corporation Chief Corporate Metrologist and IAS Board Member Jeff Gust, International Quality Excellence in Infrastructure Systems (IQEIS) President Peter Unger, National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies (NABCB) Lead Assessor & former CEO Anil Jauhri, and International Accreditation Service (IAS) Vice President of Global Development & Compliance Dr. George Anastasopoulos.
